Country's top sports administrators on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow at the death of former IOA president Suresh Kalmadi, calling it a huge loss to the Olympic movement in India.
Around 150 people, including family members of the wrestlers, are seeking a meeting with Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P T Usha and ad-hoc panel chief Bhupender Singh Bajwa.

WFI's ad-hoc panel to work with just one member for at least a week
A defiant Indian Olympic Association on Tuesday spurned the Sports Ministry's tenure limitation guidelines even though there was a voice of dissent against its president Suresh Kalmadi's "dictator-like" functioning.
'The elections of the WFI were stayed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 11.08.2023 just a day before the poll and therefore, polling could not be held on 12.08.2023... the Supreme Court has vacated the stay orders and therefore the remaining steps like polling etc. will now recommence on 21.12.2023 as per the following revised schedule.'
Monday is the last date for filing nominations.
As the bid will open in 2011, Kalmadi said the IOA would begin its preparation for the bid immediately after the 2010 Commonwealth Games were over.
